Getting Here
Banff is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Banff National Park, Alberta. Banff is approximately 135km west of Calgary and 60km east of Lake Louise. Calgary International Airport is the main gateway into Banff and several transport options are available to get you to Banff, including car rental/hire, airport shuttles, limousines and buses. The Trans Canada Highway passes just outside the town of Banff, as does the Rocky Mountaineer, the famous western Canadian rail tour. Whether you are arriving by car from Vancouver from the west, Jasper from the north or Calgary from the east, Banff's central location in the heart of the Rockies is a 'must stop' for any traveller.
